There is no denying that The Marvelous Mrs Maisel has kept us entertained. I mean, where did the 3 million followers come from? After its 3rd season was released with such a high number of fans, there are a lot of you out there itching to know what occurred in the new season. This show will air its fourth season on the 18th of February, 2022, and the format will be really different this time. Let’s take a look!
Instead of watching all episodes in one sitting or two, you will now watch 2 episodes each week for 4 weeks. This means the first two episodes will air on 18th February, episodes 3 & 4 on 25th February, episodes 5 & 6 on March 4th, and finally the season finale will air on 11th of March.
The show’s initial pattern was to release a new season in December during the holidays, however, due to the pandemic the production for this season was put on hold. But we now have a date. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel will be officially released on Prime Video on 18th February this year.
Virtually everyone in season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel will be returning for season 4. Not only are we going to see Rachel Brosnahan, Alex Borstein and Michael Zegan, but other beloved characters like Tony Shalhoub who played Abe Weissman, Marin Hinkle who plays Rose Weissman, Kevin Pollak who played Moishe Maisel, Caroline Aaron as Shirley Maisel and Jane Lynch as Sophie Lennon are all going to return for the next season of the series. However, it is not certain whether or not Liza Weil, Sterling K. Brown and Wanda Sykes, who are guest stars in the series, will be returning for this season.
In the new teaser for the new upcoming season, Midge mentions that she will only perform once again if she gets the option to be the headlining performance instead of its opener, but Susie is not so certain that this is possible for the client. There is another trailer that reveals some of season four’s plot, so what is one to expect from the brand new season?
Midge notifies Susie that she no longer desires to play an opening act and that she will perform solely where she has the option say whatever it is she wants to say. There is also a super quick shot of someone (we think is Midge) attacking a taxi cab with what looks to be a small tree, and a scene where Midge gets pulled off the stage. It seems like all the drama will come back to season 4 in a major way.
Several snaps hint about Milo's and Midge's relationship in the show, photos were taken on the set showing Milo’s character giving Midge flowers, talking on a park bench and holding hands while climbing the stairs in New York’s Central Park. There is also a small boy who plays with a dog, which may mean that Midge’s son Ethan could be the one responsible for orchestrating the meeting between those characters. Ethan looks older than in season 3, which could explain the time jump between seasons 3 & 4. Fans have speculated that the show might return post-1966 after the death of Midge’s friend Lenny Bruce left a hole in her heart.
