Recently they confirmed that a new and upcoming show would be named The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Amazon studios set the deal in November 2017 and got ahead of its competitors, such as Netflix and others, in acquiring the rights. The deal gave the rights to Amazon to produce at least five seasons of The Lord of the Rings, if this happens, the series would be the most expensive one ever to produce.

It is expected the show will cover all the incidents and major events of happening in the second age of Middle Earth.
