The second season of "Tyler Perry's Ruthless" resumes on BET+ after a mid-season vacation. Tyler Perry Studios and BET Networks collaborated to create BET+. Beginning Thursday, November 25, episode 10 was available for streaming. You may stream it on Amazon Prime Video with a trial version to BET+.
Melissa Williams, who previously appeared on The Oval, takes the starring role. Matt Cedeo plays The Highest, Lenny Thomas plays Dikhan, Yvonne Senat Jones plays Tally, and Jaime M. Callica plays Agent Brian Rollins in "Tyler Perry's Ruthless." The series also features Stephanie Charles, Baadja-Lyna Odums, Herve Clermont, Anthony Bless, Blue Kimble, and Michelle Nuez.
Season 1 concluded with a suspenseful ending, setting the stage for an awaited season 2, with the Rakadushi cult at the vanguard of season two's genesis.
Ruthless, directed by Tyler Perry, recounts the tale of a lady named Ruth, who kidnaps her young daughter and forces her to rejoin her in the dark underworld of an extreme religious cult. On the other hand, the first episode of season 2 ("The Outhouse", centers on Ruth and The Highest, while Ruth gets closer to The Highest, the Compound remains in chaos, and The Highest tends to lose power. Tally loses confidence in Ruth in episode two ("Over The Barrel") as she concentrates on her plan. The title of episode three ("Holding On By A Thread") says it all, as Ruth and Tally grapple with competing viewpoints.
"BET+ revealed the midseason comeback of Tyler Perry's Ruthless, which premiered worldwide on BET+ on Thursday, November 26." As the season progresses, many dedicated followers have started to discover the horror lurking behind the Rakudushis movement's surface. Ruth and many new scared cult members attempt to take the power of their independent lives, armed with such expertise.
Efforts will be very strenuous for those who do not have supporters they feel they can trust. More sex, deception, and murder await viewers in this cult that is living up to its name. Being aware of false messiahs has never been more critical.
Melissa L. Williams, an alumnus of The Oval cast, spoke with BET about the political spin-off and how she discovered that she is getting the starring role.
She found out before filming The Oval. She was watching a movie on a Sunday and got a phone call from a 404 number that was not saved. She said that she normally doesn't answer phone calls from numbers that are not saved, because most of the time those are calls from telemarketers, or student loans offers. Then she got a text from that same number: It was from Tyler Perry, and he left a message that he was trying to reach her, she was so excited and couldn't believe what she was hearing, in her eyes, Tyler Perry is a living legend. She ended up calling the number back, but she didn't know what to expect. He told her that he was about to start his vacation, but he wanted to discuss something important with her, only then she realized that it was getting real and she just stayed silent because she was not going to interrupt Tyler Perry.
Ruthless does not yet have a release date. The series is either on hold or the new season has yet to be announced. We will make sure to notify you as soon as we get some updates.
