Always enjoyed 'Live P D', Now comes 'Live Rescue'. Doesn't hold a candle to the former. The action itself is pretty good, as long as they stay away from kitties in trees, etc. However, the hosts need to settle down a little bit, all the oohing and ahhing banter that seems to accompany every call. Things like "Another split second, and they surely would have been totally engulfed" when it wasn't even close. Or, " those rescuers faced 12-foot waves and jagged rocks" when in reality the waves were maybe 2 ft. at most (surfer here) and the beach was normal, rounded rocks. My favorite was when the guest said " Did you see the SIZE of that boat? Ten thousand pounds, could come crashing down on them at ANY second". Maybe 3,000 lbs in reality. Come on, guys - that was a 26 ft. fiberglass fishing runabout. I'm finding the show harder and harder to watch. Matt is pretty good - lots of character there.
