This season, Dakota Fred and his son Dustin are mining for nuggets in the raging torrents of glacier-fed McKinley Creek using heated wet suits to dive beneath the freezing plunge pools. But has the father-son duo taken on more than they can handle? The Alaskan wilderness is as brutal as ever — as they battle against ferocious weather, flash floods, falling boulders and hungry bears. The men also face catastrophic equipment failures in a mad dash to hit the jackpot that could make them millionaires. Last season, the Dakota Boys’ quest for gold ended in disaster when a landslide sent a flash flood cascading through their mine site. Three months of hard work was wiped out virtually overnight, just days after their biggest gold haul of the season. Determined as ever, the Dakota Boys are back with a bigger crew and a brand new powerful second dredge. This year, they’re determined to claim the pile of gold they know lies on bedrock beneath the creek bed. But with such unpredictable conditions, and pressed up against the clock, anything could happen. Most of the crew from last year is backing including retired Marine Sgt. Carlos Minor, who is desperate for gold in order to help his young family. Texan brothers Wes and Paul Richardson also return with the vital job of maintaining the equipment that could break down at any moment. Also, greenhorn Rich Webster and Arizona miner Casey Morgan have joined the crew with big hopes of finding millions-worth of gold. The pressure is on. But can the Dakota Boys and their team of miners tame the wilderness, strike gold and make it out unscathed?

This show represents the expression and feeling of Hope and Hopelessness. There is a reason that there has been so much written on Alchemy. I can't explain it to those that don't understand, but there have been many books written about it. Gold is something you have to have faith in finding. You can look and look in the right areas and not find gold until you look at it from a different way. Anyway. to avoid getting to deep into the metaphysical. The show (gold rush whitewater especially), builds hope that's a little bit of wealth (that ends up coming in the form of faith), is still within grasp. Yes, you can still get rich by digging gold out of the ground, (( I will Lovingly leave it to any statistically excited or motivated individually to provide us with the percentage odds of finding gold vs. winning the lottery), insert here ________________--. The gold rush shows will never get boring. Bearing seagold show will never get old. To cancel these real tv programs would be bad for Discovery. It&#x27;s only reason I pay the monthly charge for the app. Canceling would be a big BIG mistake... Just saying.

I hope it returns, as someone else said the Gold rush shows are the only reason I pay for the discovery channel subscription as well. Only shows they have that have cult followers. If they cancel white water or Bering sea there will be a lot of people leaving discovery behind.

I must say, Gold Rush White Water is the greatest show ever to hit the TV screen. For Discovery &#x2F; Warner Bros to cancel the shows halfway through the series is ludicrous! I will go out of my way to avoid watching any Discovery &#x2F; Warner Bros media unless they realize their mistake and get this rectified immediately. Tax cuts and profits should not be a driver for decisions on improving the organization&#x27;s customer experience!

I am very disappointed that discovery has taken my favourite show off the air and cut off the show completely in the middle of the season! I am furious with this division! I hope you guys can come to agreement to air the show soon cause I Need to kind out if they find a butt load of gold under that water wall!!!!
