What is the story about?

 

The story follows the four individuals traveling between Milan, Rome, and Rimini. We shall discover uncertainties and contradictions in their everyday life about selling out, adulterous encounters, and allures outside the loving relationship. The narrative revolves around the two protagonists, Carlo and Margherita.

 

Official Synopsis of the series

 

The mini-series is inspired by the most incredible love novel of the same name by Marco Missiroli. It tells the narrative of a loving couple whose relationship is rocked by the emergence of suspicions about their infidelity. The pair must navigate the implications of treason, balancing seduction and logic; their relationship is at an intersection: one should be true to their spouse or themselves?

“Margherita (Lucrezia Guidone) and Carlo (Michele Riondino) are very much in love, but something sneaks into their relationship and causes them to doubt everything, themselves included.”

 

Margherita will be tortured due to a misunderstanding, the rescue of one of his understudies via Carlo. Is her companion no longer in love with her and cheating on her with a pretty girl? That's what Margherita will try to uncover, testing feelings and questions within herself, examining the amount of consent that truly binds her to her life partner, and thinking about the possibility of cheating to resurrect the marital union.

 

There really is a lot of waiting to see the portrayal on the tiny screen of Marco Missiroli's book, as is often the case for art forms that were appreciated by the general audience and are altered for little or great show.

The novel's writer, Marco Missiroli, is a contestant for the 73rd Strega Prize and the victor of the Strega Prize Giovani 2019. In Italy, 'Fidelity' was the top of the competition. BiBi Film is in charge of the series production.
