The Netflix hit show, Designated Survivor 60 Days, is again making the headlines in the news as the wait is over, and it is coming back with another season. The last season of the show was released back in 2019, and since then it has been more than three years without any news of the release date of the show's second season. Unfortunately, due to covid, the show was delayed, but now it is set to return to Netflix very soon.

 

Designated Survivor 60 Days is a South Korean-based show that Netflix decided to run on their streaming platform in 2019, it is a political crime thriller drama with very good screenplay and strong writing. The show was created by David Guggenheim, written by Kim Tae-hee, and developed by Studio Dragon. If you are also an avid show fan, read the following updates on the plot and cast of the series.

 

The Plot Of The Show

 

Designated Survivor 60 Days first aired on TVN and then on Netflix from 1 July 2019 onwards, it follows the story of Park Mu jin, the South Korean Minister of Environment. He had very little ambition of being a politician, and it was going well in his life, suddenly his story took a turn as he was dismissed by President Yang Jin ma over an environmental pollution issue. Park was considered a part of the free trade negotiations with the US, until a dispute with the Environmental Protection Agency about pollution caused by imported cars cost him his position and job. The next day, the president of South Korea decided to make peace with North Korea, there was a sudden bomb blast in which all the ministers were killed, and Park Mu jin, who had been forced to resign, become the president for 60 days and started to discover the truth of the bombing. The series stars Ji Jin Hee and several other South Korean actors, people loved the show's first season, which is why they have been asking about the second for a couple of years.

  • Ji Jin-hee is Park Mu-jin, who plays the lead role of acting president.
  • Lee Joon-hyuk as Oh Yeong-Seok is a former ROK Navy Lieutenant Commander
  • Heo Joon-ho as Han Joo-Seung, who plays Chief Presidential Secretary.
  • Kang Han-na is Han Na-Kyung, who plays the NIS Terrorism Task Force Analyst.
  • Bae Jong-ok, as Yoon Chan-Kyung, is the leader of the opposition Seonjin Republican Party.

I absolutely l9ved this series and hope with all my being that you do renew it. I watched on the edge if my seat and could not put it down, watching it constantly. I loved the characters and want you to really bring it back. Such a worth while series xx thank you xx
