Rock the Block Season 6 or Cancelled? HGTV Renewal & Release Date

<p>This time around on 'The Block,' we've got a real treat! Four familiar teams are back for another shot at glory in Treasure Island, Florida. They're all geared up to jazz up some waterfront homes like never before. Ty Pennington, the carpenter extraordinaire from Battle on the Beach, is our host for this seven-episode showdown where tensions will be sky-high. These HGTV pros are aiming to settle scores, win bragging rights, and maybe even get a street named after them!</p> <p>Our competitors include Bryan and Sarah Baeumler (Battle on the Beach), Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Block), Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis (Unsellable Houses), and Page Turner with Mitch Glew (Fix My Flip). They've got six weeks and $250,000 to turn these waterfront properties into dream homes with killer views of Boca Ciega Bay.</p> <p>The premiere kicks off with a challenge to revamp the kitchens and dining areas. Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson (Married to Real Estate) will be judging, looking for that perfect blend of style and functionality.</p> <p>As the season rolls on, we'll have other HGTV stars dropping by to check out the progress. Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt (100 Day Dream Home) will give their expert opinions on the living rooms, and later, they'll scope out the backyards. Kristina Crestin (Farmhouse Fixer) will cast her eye over the main bedrooms, while Veronica Valencia (Revealed) and Michel Smith Boyd (Luxe for Less) will be critiquing exteriors, balconies, and boat docks. Jonathan Scott from Property Brothers will join Ty for the final verdict.</p> <p>And hey, it's not just about winning&mdash;each team is also playing for a good cause. The champions will see a donation made to No Kid Hungry on their behalf, providing 100,000 meals for kids in need. How awesome is that?</p>

<p>HGTV has picked up another season of Rock the Block, its mega-hit home renovation competition series. Set for premiere in early 2022, the series again will be hosted by popular carpenter, craftsman and design expert Ty Pennington and will showcase four teams of HGTV's powerhouse experts who are ready to face-off in a renovation battle for bragging rights and a street named in their honor. Competitors will include twin real estate bosses Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb (Unsellable Houses), Arkansas' fiercest home renovation experts Dave and Jenny Marrs (Fixer to Fabulous), Detroit-based flippers Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Block) and veteran real estate broker Egypt Sherrod joined by her builder husband Mike Jackson (Married to Real Estate). Each team will have just six weeks and a budget of $225,000 to renovate identical properties and morph them into the ultimate suburban oasis that reflects their distinctive vision and breathtaking design. "Our renovation competitions continue to perform well and audience anticipation will be extremely high for another season of Rock the Block," said Betsy Sanner Ayala, senior vice president, programming and development, HGTV. "This is also a great vehicle to showcase some of our newer talent who have a competitive spirit and are ready to put their expertise on the line in a fun, no-holds-barred showdown."</p>
