Marvel’s Spider-Man is a popular animated action, superhero television series that airs on the Disney XD channel and it follows the adventures of the wall climbing, web slinging hero, Spider-Man.

The animated story of Marvel’s Spider-Man begins when Peter Parker goes on a school field trip toa place called Oscorp, the gifted teen is given arachnid like powers after being bitten by a spider that has become radioactive. When his Uncle Ben dies during a burglary, Peter Parker assumes the mantle of the crime fighting Spider-Man, a masked superhero, and learns that he is able to fight crime anonymously whilst still carrying on with his studies at his new school called Horizon High, which is a school for highly intellectual, genius students.

The Marvel’s Spider-Man animated TV show was designed to be a replacement of a previous animated Spider Man show, which was called Ultimate Spider-Man, this show aired on the Disney XD channel from 2012 to 2017. Initially there was an origin story that aired from June 28, 2017 to July 29, 2017, this was basically a pilot series that consisted of 6 episodes.

Marvel’s Spider-Man premiered on August 19, 2017, with Season 1 consisting of 25 episodes, each of which were 30 minutes long. On January 24, 2018 the Disney XD channel announced that it had renewed Marvel’s Spider-Man for a second season and Season 2 first aired on June 18, 2018. To the delight of fans, the Disney XD channel made the announcement on May 30, 2019 that Marvel’s Spider-Man had been renewed again and a third season would be released. Season 3 differed in that it had a longer title – Marvel’s Spider-Man: Maximum Venom, it premiered on April 19, 2020 and this season had 6 episodes that aired on a monthly basis instead of weekly, each episode was an hour long. Fandom said that “The change in format from a full season to six hour-long episodes, according to Kevin Burke and Chris Doc Wyatt, is because they had stories they wanted to tell that wouldn't be possible in a half-hour episode.”

So, will there be a 4th season of Marvel’s Spider-Man on the Disney XD channel? Are Spider-Man fans and the fans of the show going to be delighted or disappointed? Will this animated TV series of our favorite wall climbing, web slinging, all action superhero be renewed or canceled?

Sadly, according to Fandom, it looks like the fans of this great show are going to be disappointed, this is what they said “Following Marvel Television being folded into Marvel Studios, production on Disney XD animated series would wrap up, including the production for this series, effectively canceling it after three seasons.”

So, there you have it, no Season 4 for Marvel’s Spider-Man after all. A huge blow for all those dedicated fans out there.

More information about Marvel's Spider-Man
