About The Curse of Oak Island TV Show

Rick and Marty Lagina work to fulfill a life-long dream as they embark on the most exciting chapter ever of the now 220-year-old Oak Island mystery. After making major discoveries in borehole 10-X and the infamous Money Pit last year, the brothers and their partners will use today’s most advanced technology, as well as heavy digging and drilling equipment to go deep inside the island. They welcome new researchers and special guests, forge new alliances and explore new, intriguing theories. Nothing will stop them from finding out what could be buried on Oak Island, who concealed it there and where “X” marks the spot. This year also holds several extraordinary milestones for the Oak Island team. It’s been 50 years since an article about the Money Pit appeared in Reader’s Digest, which not only sparked the imaginations of the young Lagina brothers, but also compelled Dan Blankenship to devote his life to solving this great mystery. It is also the 50th anniversary of the Restall tragedy, which claimed four of the six lives lost in search of the Oak Island treasure. Will Rick, Marty and their partners unearth a vast, hidden treasure? Or like the many who have come before them, will they only find more obstacles–or worse—proof that a deadly curse really does protect Oak Island’s secrets?

We have to have at least a season 9 because they haven’t found the treasure yet

Shirley says

I'd hate to see it cancelled. It's been so interesting--I appreciate the historical follow up on the found items. If the boys continue to search please let us be a part of the nail biting.

Judy says

I have watched every season and would just feel so disappointed if it is not renewed. It is about the history now and not the treasure. Something BIG happened here and it so much fun to find out. There is so many trash shows on TV we need a great historical show like this to keep our minds enriched and to learn about history.

With this show and The lost Confederation gold, the Laginas created a milionary bussiness, where they will keep hopes to find non existing treasures until we, the fools who insist in watched it, will turn TV out and will look for more serious ventures. .At that time, without any further explanation, the show will go with the wind, the Laginas pocket full of money. All serious historians agreed that the so called Templars treasure was already expent in the Great Navigations held by Portugal, a very poor and Templar oriented country, formed with the help of St. Bernard of Claivaux, relative of the first count of Portugal, author of the Templar´s code and who preached the Second Cruzade, mother ship of the Templars. As somebody said, each day. a fool borns.......

Following the problem with the coronavirus, the show will be on stand by for 1 year

I can’t believe this show is still on. I watched a few episodes in the first season and knew it would be a never ending gotcha series, always promising something right around the corner, better tune in next time. Realizing that the show was just a joke I stopped watching it then. I hear about it recently and was like that’s still on, look it up and they have made 7 seasons out of nothing. I guess I’ll be nice and not spoil the eventual we found nothing but it has to be here ending for those that are still enjoying the show.
