AMC and Sony Pictures Television announced today from the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Press Tour the renewal of acclaimed Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul for a sixth and final 13-episode season, which will go into production later this year and air in 2021. The renewal comes just ahead of the highly-anticipated season five two-night premiere event on Sunday, February 23 at 10:00 p.m. ET/9c and Monday, February 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET/8c. In the 10-episode fifth season, Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) decision to practice law as "Saul Goodman" creates unexpected and profound waves of change for those in his orbit. "From day one of Better Call Saul my dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill - now AMC and Sony are making that dream come true," said Showrunner and Executive Producer Peter Gould. "We couldn't be more grateful to the fans and critics who are making this journey possible. Next month we start work on the sixth and final season - we're going to do our damnedest to stick the landing." Better Call Saul is a highly addictive AMC crime drama, following the titular character in his pre-Breaking Bad life.  The show has been praised for its wonderful writing and the masterful performances of the actors, including Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul, and Jonathan Banks, who plays Mike.  Season five of Better Call Saul ended on 20 April 2021 and left fans with many questions about what will happen next.   Fans of Breaking Bad rejoice as Better Call Saul is back, with season 6 confirmed and coming.  The TV series about small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill's transformation into infamous drug kingpin Saul Goodman premiered, but for those who need a refresher, here are some useful bits of information about this critically acclaimed show.   <h2>The Plot</h2>   Season 6 will follow the events of Breaking Bad's final episode, including the aftermath and ultimate fate of Jesse Pinkman. As you may have guessed, there are expected spoilers in this, so if you're not up to date on the show so far, read no more. Suffice it to say that we can expect tension and drama from start to finish.  The director of the show stated that season six would have 13 episodes instead of the regular 10.  In one of the interviews with the reporter, the show's executive producer stated that this season is going to be out of control and gave a hint that Lalo’s character could be important in the final season.    People speculate whether Saul Goodman (Jimmy) would die in the final season and what would be the most satisfactory end for all the fans.  There have been many theories as to what will happen next in Better Call Saul, but we do not know whether these will come true or not.   <h2>Casting</h2>   The directors of the shows told that it is obvious that Odenkirk will be back as Jimmy McGill.  What about the other cast members, and who are the others joining him for the last season?  Well, talking about the other cast members, there will be Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler and Mike Ehrmantraut, played by Jonathan Banks.  Along with them, you will see Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Tony Dalton and many others.  There was news that the writers are still deciding the plot of Kim and Jimmy.  There will be a lot of drama involved with relationships among all the characters of the shows.  The directors appreciated the role of Kim Wexler and how it's proceeding within the show, and it’s projected that it is going to be a little on the dark side this season.   Season five ended with a cliffhanger, as the protagonists were all facing off against one another.  On top of that, there were a lot of casualties on both sides, with Jimmy witnessing the shooting of his friends and Mike accidentally shooting Hector.  The show also saw a lot of cameos from the breaking Bad’s cast. Unfortunately, to date, there are not any teasers and trailers for the fans waiting eagerly for the show to go live.
